AIR MONITORING
During a renovation or demolition, inhabitants and workers can be exposed to hazardous fibers which can cause potentially life threatening illnesses. Air monitoring is an important method of monitoring exposure to these potential hazards. The airborne contaminants are measured and compared against the volume of air, and the results are stated as a concentration. Air quality determines the safety of those involved.
Occupational Air Sampling requires monitoring to be done using personal samples, to ensure that all workers involved in asbestos removal are safe from being exposed to harmful fibers.
Ambient air sampling is testing of a portion of the external atmosphere, to which the general public has access.
Darick is WorkSafeBC approved as a qualified person to provide on-site third party air monitoring according to NIOSH 582-7400, to ensure that all workers and inhabitants are safe.
